Please let us not forget to say prayers and thanks to those who sacrificed their lives for this country's freedom. Not only to those who are not with us anymore but also to those who are still fighting and of course to their families! Thank you very much!

Asiatic Lily

First blooms this year on my Asiatic Lilies! They are just beautiful in person. I am just so glad they are everywhere in our yard and I actually transplanted some new ones just months ago. I thought for sure they won't be blooming this year since I transferred them but to my surprised they are blooming right now. This is something that I would never get tired of, GARDENING!

Art Museums And Galleries In Central Jersey

I've been in the US for 7 years now, been living in North Carolina which I think is such a lovely mountain state but I haven't really got to explore the other beautiful states except for the neighboring states. I would really love to go and visit some other states that have art museums and galleries that I can go to and enjoy other people's beautiful and unique artworks! I checked out this site GoCentralJersey.com and they have some amazing art museums and galleries there. I really wish I can go there one day so I can check out and study some of those artworks.

It will be a great inspiration for me since I am into arts. I am currently interested in oil painting, I've done about 5 paintings in the past 7 years but only 1 of those paintings were original. I still need to learn and study some more, perhaps looking at other people's work will help me get inspired. Besides of wanting to go to the art museums and galleries, I would also love to go and enjoy the beautiful scenery that Central Jersey has to offer so I could take a lot of pictures because I am into photography as well. I am far from being a professional, this is just for hobby that I recently love and enjoy doing.

Anyway, Central Jersey have so many historical sites that you can go to and enjoy. It would be a great way to explore, study and learn more about some of this country's history. I'm gonna have to save ample enough of money to be able to go there. This would be a perfect getaway for this coming summer, hopefully!

Calla Lily

First bloom on my calla lily this year. Isn't it lovely? This is one of my favorite flowers in my garden. I think I only have a couple of this plant in my garden and this is the only that's blooming right now. I ought to buy some more so I will have plenty in my garden. If I just enough of this flower I would really love to cut it and put in a vase to put inside the house. Because of it's long stem they are perfect to put in a vase!

An Innocent Child's Eyes!

There has been so many crimes of kids/babies killed in the hands of their own parents that I have seen on the news lately, as young as 3 month old! It is such a hideous, unacceptable, abominable act for somebody to do such thing. What are these people thinking that they would hurt a defenseless, helpless, sweet and innocent child? Looking at these innocent eyes of my youngest son really makes me sick of my stomach thinking that somebody is capable of hurting an innocent child! It is truly heartbreaking and scary!

Pork Apritada

Pork Apritada has always been one of my favorite Filipino dishes. I always love how mama cooks hers and I'm so glad that she taught me how to cook when I was young! I miss her cooking terribly. Anyway, picture above is of pork apritada that I made the other day for our supper. I did not really plan to make this but I had so many leftover veggies  that made me decide to make this dish. As usual hubby loved it and so did my son and mother-in-law which I am so glad about. Of course Filipino meal is not complete without white rice!

Kindergarten Celebration...

Today was basically my son's last day of school. They had a celebration this morning at their school gym where all kindergarteners performed a little presentations by singing and then they received their kindergarten certificates. It's like a graduation ceremony so to speak!

Anyhow, when they were performing they sounded so beautiful. I am just so glad that I brought my camera with me and recorded their performance. I will probably have to convert the video to dvd so I can make some copies for the other parents where I took some videos of their children too. It will probably save me plenty of time if I do it through Photobin. This is a nice place to do video conversions or even photo scanning. That way I don't have to work my butt off to convert those videos that I took since I don't have that much time on my hands as busy as I am!

Life Insurance Is A Must...

When I was still in the Philippines I didn't know anything about insurance. Not until I came here in the US that insurance of different varieties existed. The cost of living here in the US is really expensive compared to the way I grew up in my native land. There are things that you have to have here in order to live a comfortable life like insurance policies

Like if some tragedy happens to one of your family members, medical bills or funeral expenses can be very expensive. So that's why even though insurance is really expensive, it will come in handy in time of such tragedy.

Mini Mum

At first glance I thought these flowers were daisies but it's not, the label says it's "Mini Mum" plant. This was my mother-in-law's plant that somebody had given her when she was in the hospital for about a week. After she came out from the hospital she stayed with us for a few days and everything that she had in her room she took with her to our house including this plant and another one. When she decided to go home she told me to keep the plants because she won't be able to take care of it. She'd rather give it away that to keep it and just die in her care. So I did not refuse because I loveee flowers and this is just beautiful!

Wild Daisy

Pictures above were taken this afternoon. Out of nowhere while I was grilling outside, I just decided to get my camera and started taking pictures of the wild daisies that are growing wildly in our yard. Our yard hasn't been mowed since spring started two months ago! I'm telling you it looks like a jungle right now. You will see so many wild daisies, I actually picked out some and put it in the vase. Although they are wild I still find them very lovely, good enough to put in the vase inside the house and it's FREE!

First Bloom

I love roses! It's always been one of my favorite flowers since I was just a little girl! I have about five rose bushes in my garden, three are not doing so well that I just replanted in a pot about a month ago and two of them are blooming right now, one is pictured above. It is the first bloom of my pink rose bush this year. I just love the color of it. It is so lively, vibrant and just makes me feel so happy inside every time I look at it! It is amazing how much happiness flowers/plants can bring to someone! Don't you agree?

Black Flowers...

I have never seen this flowers before until my mother-in-law bought at the store two weeks ago. I thought it was very pretty! Unfortunately I do not know what the name of the plant, it did not come with a label when she bought it. I would really like to know the name of this plant. So if anybody knows the name of this plant, please kindly leave me a comment, it would be very much appreciated!

His Yummy Cake With Lots of Characters!

My older son turned 6 years old last Thursday! We only had a very simple celebration which he didn't mind at all. We took him to Chuck E Cheese for about an hour or so to enjoy his self which he did. It was our little surprise for him. And another thing that really surprised him was his birthday cake. Super Mario has been his obsession since I showed him how to play Mario game on my computer since he was just 3 years old!

Anyway, he didn't have a clue that I was doing Super Mario cake this year. I have been planning it for months. I printed the picture and took it to the bakery and had them do a picture cake and then I found those little Mario and the gang action figures at Walmart and made them as cake toppers! Oh he loved everyone of them and of course the cake itself! It's a chocolate cake that he personally asked me to get. The icing on the cake are not your traditional icing that's very, very sweet, it's a whip icing which I prefer better than the traditional icing because it's not really, really sweet and it taste so much better than the traditional icing. If you have some kind of occasion coming, you should try the whip icing, I guarantee you, you will love it!

Thanks Mr. G!

I was so happy last night when I found out that all my blogs including this one has PR1s now! I can't believe that it didn't take long for this blog to get a PR like my other blogs did. It took over a year for my others to get PRs. I started this blog last year of October, so this blog is less than a year old! So I'm thrilled! Even my newest blog on wordpress has PR now too. Well, I started that one almost a year ago but forgot about it until 3 months! So I've only been updating it recently but I'm glad that it has PR1 now too!

Happy 6th birthday to the most wonderful, sweet, loving, gentle and handsome son of mine! Wow! It is truly unbelievable how time flies! I now have 6 year old! I am feeling so old already! LOL!

Anyhow, below are some of the presents that we got him, he hasn't open any presents yet, he's in school right now. We will be going over there later to take some birthday cupcakes so he can celebrate it with his class! After he gets off school, we will be taking him to Chuck E. Cheese, he doesn't know that we are taking him there, it is our little surprise for him! I know for sure that he is going to love his presents because he was very specific that he only wants 3ds games and no other toys! But of course I also got him some other stuff that I know he will appreciate as well! He is one of those kid that anything you will give him he'll appreciate it! And I'm thankful for that!

Anyway, I know that he won't be able to read this post but maybe one day he will come across this blog and read every post on here. So to my dearest son David....Happy 6th Birthday! I love you very, very much and thank you very much for being so sweet! You and you're little brother are the very best thing that ever happened to my life and I'm so thankful to GOD for you two! No matter how big or old you get, you will always be my baby! And I know you love this...

As long as I'm living
