Traveling Can Be Stressful!

Traveling can be really stressful especially when it is such a long way to your destination like New Zeland. I've always wanted to see that place, I've heard that is such a beautiful country! A friend of mine just went there for a vacation not too long ago, they stayed at this very cozy apartment queenstown which she highly recommended to everybody for she said it was such a very nice, relaxing and customer-friendly apartment!

Well perhaps I will take her word for it but it will be a while before we can travel there for we don't have the money to travel anywhere for now. I got so many things plan but it's the money is the problem. One of my goal is to try to petition my mother to come live with me but that will be a while since I am not even a US citizen yet. But when that happen, I have to make sure that she will have a Blood Pressure Monitor with her because she's got a High Blood Pressure problem! I would really hate if she encounter that problem in the plane, but that's gonna be a while like I said. Got to save some money first before I can even apply for my citizenship.

Anyway, my cousin was asking me about Recruitment Agencies that she can possibly apply to work abroad. I told her that it's not easy to do it unless if you have the experience that they required and of course the money for all the expenses involve! It's really getting bad back home and everybody is wanting to go abroad to work but it's just not that easy!

"The Prettiest Outfit"

This outfit that I am wearing in the pictures above is what I wore last Sunday. I don't know what it is but Sunday is the only time that I like to really care on how I look. Other days if I'm going out I couldn't care less of how I look except for when there is an occasion. If I am just going to the grocery store, I can just slap on a tank top or t-shirt, jeans and flip flops, something easy, comfortable and fast to put on!

Anyhow, after the mass, we attended a farewell party for a family who has been coming to our church for how many years and they're moving to Tennessee. At the party, somebody approached me and said, "You have the prettiest outfit this morning..". I was really surprised when she said that and very flattered as well. It was really sweet of her to just came to me just to tell me that. It really made me feel good. Sometimes you need compliments like that every now and then!

So what I had on last Sunday as you can see in the pictures is this leopard-print self-tie front top bought from GOODWILL! Yes I found this top at a thrift store and I am not ashame to admit that I shop at Goodwill. Poor people like me especially who originally came from a 3rd world country like the Philippines, just don't have the right to be picky but that just me, everybody is different!

Anyway, so I topped it with this lace blazer because it was actually chilly that morning and the top is actually bigger than what I usually wear and I thought it looked perfect paired with blazer. Lace blazer and white skinny jeans both were from Wetseal. I decided to wear my leopard-print wedge sandals by Madden Girl to match my top and then used my designer-inspired handbag. Well evidently, it worked great or I would have not received that compliment! :)

Coin Collection

My husband's uncle who lives in Virginia is gonna be turning 75 years old in a few months. Although we don't usually send him anything except for greeting card, I talked to my husband that maybe this time we can send him a little something. I know that he's got a coin collection and perhaps a dollar coin would be a wonderful addition to his collection?

It Brought Back Some Memories!

Wearing a skirt to church last Sunday sure brought back some memories in my childhood days. There was one point in my childhood where I only wore long skirts, I think it was during my freshman year in high school. I did not have that much skirts back then, so when I ran out, what I would do is take a big loose shirt and use it for a skirt! LOL! It's making me really laugh right now just thinking about it!

Anyway, I don't usually wear skirt but since it is one of the latest trends today, I thought I would try it out again. Buying it on my favorite stores online is really expensive and I am just not willing to pay almost $20 for a pair of skirt! So what I did, we went to Goodwill one day and I checked out their skirts and found the one that I thought was not too old fashioned looking which is what I am wearing in the picture!

Oh yes I am not ashame to broadcast to the world that I shop at Goodwill! Nothing wrong with that at all! If you want to be fashionable without breaking your budget, thrift stores like Goodwill is the perfect place to shop. They have name brand clothing there if you can't wear nothing but a name brand! You can even find brand new items with tags!

Anyhow, back to my skirt, another thing I love about it is, it is reversible! I can just turn it inside out and I have me another pair of skirt! So I paired it with a ruched-front tank top from Wetseal, a black ruched-sleeves cardigan from TJMaxx and then completed the look with my G by Guess purple handbag matched with my purple wedge sandals from Charlotte Russe! I actually felt like a "LOLA" wearing that long skirt. LOL! But I was very comfortable in them and that's all that matters to me! When I am comfortable, I feel good!

Cute But Uncomfortable After A While

So last Friday was my son's field trip to the zoo. I decided to wear my new pair of yellow loafers to match with my yellow Coach crossbody bag that my husband got me for Mother's day. The shoes were really cute and very comfortable at first. But after walking for how many hours at the zoo, my feet started hurting really bad in them! Until now may nails are still painful. The shoes are really cute and all but not meant to be worn for long hours like we did at the zoo. We were at least walking for about 5 hours there, wandering around and tried to see every animals that they had there!

Anyhow, here are a couple of pictures below of me wearing my shoes...

Iris Flower Short Poem

My Irises are blooming right now. I went outside a few hours ago to take pictures of them before they all die. Picture above is one of the snapshots that I took. Isn't it beautiful? I could not get enough of my flowers outside. It makes me really happy to see different shapes, forms, colors of flowering plants planted in my garden. I would never get tired of taking pictures of them. For me, flowers are one of the most beautiful creations that God has ever made! Don't you agree? I am just glad that I am able to enjoy them!

Anyhow, as you can see in the picture, there is a short poem that I included in the picture. I found it on the internet, it didn't have the name of the author of the poem, I would have preferred it I knew the author but it's the only poem I can find about Iris!

Beautiful Wild Animals At The Zoo

Today my first grader had a field trip to the zoo and we were able to chaperoned him although we had to ride in a separate vehicle while them riding on the bus. It was my first time to ever been to a real zoo where wild animals like Lions, Giraffes, Leopards can be seen. It was a very hot day but I definitely enjoyed my time there with my boys!

Anyhow, here are few of the pictures that I took while we were there! These animals were just beautiful! It's the first time I have ever seen most of these animals in person!

My Reasons For Celebrating Mother's Day

These two beautiful boys are the reason why I get to celebrate Mother's Day every year. I feel so blessed and lucky to have such wonderful, adorable, handsome and smart kids. And for that I thank the good LORD above for giving me these most precious gifts anybody could ever ask for!

Anyway, here are some more pictures below with my kiddos and with my friend this time. These pictures were taken yesterday at the church parking lot after after the mass. It was such a big chaos taking these pictures because my youngest son couldn't be still for just one second! LOL! But it was a lot of fun though. I still love the outcome of the pictures although some of us weren't looking at the camera!

It was such a beautiful day yesterday. Would have been perfect to be celebrating Mother's Day outdoors like a picnic in park or something. But although we didn't do anything special, I still feel very special for all the presents, cards and greetings that I received from everybody. I will surely cherish all those gifts and cards forever. But the best gifts ever will always be my two boys. They will be forever always on my mind and in my heart no matter what!

Mother's Day Poem Dedicated To All Beautiful Mothers In The World

I want to dedicate this poem that I found on the internet to all wonderful and beautiful MOTHERS all over the world! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO US!!!

MY MOTHER KEPT A GARDEN

My Mother kept a garden,
a garden of the heart,
She planted all the good things
that gave my life it's start.

She turned me to the sunshine
and encouraged me to dream,
Fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self-esteem...

And when the winds and rain came,
she protected me enough-
But not too much because she knew
I'd need to stand up strong and tough.

Her constant good example
always taught me right from wrong-
Markers for my pathway
that will last a lifetime long.

I am my Mother's garden.
I am her legacy-
And I hope today she feels the love
reflected back from me

Yellow Loafers To Match My New Yellow Crossbody Bag

image from zooshoo.com
I bought these yellow loafers to color coordinate with my yellow crossbody bag that I will be getting tomorrow as a Mother's day gift from my husband. It was more than what I intended to pay for a shoe but this is the only one that I really liked! I've checked all my favorite stores online and nothing really caught my attention as much as this one. I really like the pointy style and the metal toe trimming is plus! It made it so much cuter just enough to not to get too overwhelmed with the color yellow. And in my opinion, these shoes can be worn as casual and dressy and that is my deciding point why I chose this pair even though they were kinda out of my price range!

Anyway, I am getting really anxious for my new Coach bag to come tomorrow. I love how fast they shipped it! Well for a $10 shipping fee that I paid for it, I should be getting it this fast and they also guaranteed on their site that it will arrive before Mother's day.

As far as my shoes, I am very excited for it too, it's already been shipped and I just checked it online it's not really showing anything yet. I will probably get it early next week since I didn't pay a high price shipping fee for it, it was actually free shipping. So I won't be upset if it won't come this week!

Mother's Day Gift From Hubby

{image from coachfactory.com}
I just bought the Mother's Day present that I wanted that will be from my husband and it is this Signature Stripe Demi Crossbody pictured above from Coach Factory. Well it is not a surprise anymore for sure but I'd rather have a gift that I know for sure I am going to like than be surprised but not liking it at all. My husband is just not one of those people who likes to surprise somebody. He will just ask me what I'd like to have when there is an occasion and lets me buy it. I mean there has been times when he really surprised but not many.

Anyway, this handbag will come before Mother's Day is here. I can't hardly wait. I only have one crossbody bag and this is a perfect addition for I like the easy and the convenience a crossbody bag offers especially when you do a lot of walking like when you're in the mall and towing a toddler with you. It sure makes it a lot easier! This would be a perfect timing, my oldest son will be having a field trip in about a week at the SC zoo and I am definitely using this!

Happy Cinco De Mayo Everyone!

I or we don't usually celebrate Cinco de Mayo, I don't even know if that's how you spell it. I just want to greet everybody out there who is enjoying this day. I do remember in the Philippines when I was growing up that every May we celebrated something at our little chapel, we called it "Flores de Mayo". I am not really sure if it is the same as Cinco de Mayo.

Anyhow, picture above was taken after church as usual. My friend had a baby shower at our church after the mass, so this is no ordinary Sunday for me. My choice of outfit for today was this peplum mint color top from Forever21, mint color bracelet and earrings as well as the taupe wedge sandals are also from F21. I so love that store. My sandals even though they're about 5 inches high are one of my favorite shoes/sandals to wear for they are one of the most comfortable high heel shoes/sandals that I have ever owned! I can wear it all day actually, my feet never hurt in them.

Back to my outfit, I paired my top with this gray skinny jeans which I thought didn't match at all, not doing that again for sure I did like the fit though! My jeans and necklace are both from Wetseal. And then to complete the look, I used my Guess handbag to color coordinate with my sandals. I needed a bigger bag to put my DSLR camera for I was the designated photographer for my friend's baby shower!

A Day Out With Hubby

Me and hubby went out today to do some errands. I originally did not want to go but then I remembered that I had to get some stuff for my son's birthday this coming Friday. We will be surprising him when he comes home. He don't have any clue that I will be cooking and decorating, good thing that he's got to go to school that day or this birthday surprise thingy won't be possible.

So anyway, it was an errands that had to be done, and as usual we were in a hurry to get back home. I was gonna finish weeding our yard today but hubby had something planned to do and nobody can watch my youngest son because my oldest was with my mother-in-law who picked him up at the bus since we weren't home yet to get him. It will probably about next week until I can finish this yard thingy because I will be super busy in the coming days, preparing for my son and mother-in-law's birthdays and then my friend's baby shower on Sunday.

Anyhow, when going somewhere like this where we had to get back right away, I don't see the point of taking my time to look pretty and nice. I just wear whatever comfortable I can grab in my closet. So earlier today, this is what I wore below...

A striped tank top by Poof, I paired it with jeggings by Mossimo. I decided to tie my hair in a bun which my hubby really hates. He likes it better when I let my hair down but today I was in the mood to have it in a bun because it was kinda hot today and I also wore my over 4 inches heels orange flip flops from Victoria's Secrets, I used my G by Guess purple crossbody handbag and a dark aviator sunglasses from Firmoo that I got for free.

All these color combinations were inspired from my top. As you can see, the stripes had orange and purple colors and that's where I coordinated my orange flipflops and purple bag. I also coordinated my dark sunnies and dark jeggings, so in my opinion everything worked out fine! And as soon as I got these pictures taken I was ready to go! :)
